TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I began as a teaching assistant working with students with severe autism. Although I was working with students aged 11-21, they were often on a kindergarten to third grade level. I have since become a certified teacher in Students with Disabilities and now teach theater to students with autism and emotional disturbances in a self-contained school. I am the head of the drama department there.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to have a lot of structure in my lessons and rules, but allow my students to have fun and experiment in the classroom. I try to use theater in a cross-curricular manner, highlighting skills that could help them in other areas.
