TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 19 years, in both public and private schools. I have taught 5th, 7th, 8th, 10th and 12th, but mainly 7th and 8th grade language arts.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I try to make my lessons as motivating and engaging as possible.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Bachelor's Degree in English from Penn State University Master's Degree in English Education from The Ohio State University

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I live in a small town just outside of Columbus, OH, with my husband and two kids. My passion is teaching and I love creating fun, challenging, standards-aligned products for my students. I've been teaching for 20 years--mostly middle school language arts. I also enjoy reading, scrapbooking, exercising and meeting friends at the local coffee shop! My goals in selling my products on Tpt are not just to make a little $, but to help teachers attain creative and inherently motivating materials when they feel they need something "ready-made" that could potentially revitalize their day-to-day lessons. We benefit so much as teachers from sharing worthwhile materials with each other. I also value feedback on these materials, and strive to support my own habit of purchasing on this fast-growing, time-saving website. One of my favorite quotes by Franklin D. Roosevelt, emphasizes the excitement I feel when developing a new product: "Happiness lies in the joy of achievement and the thrill of creative effort."
