Dr. Vada M. Coleman (Dr. VadaC) has been a secondary choral director for twenty years. A graduate of Georgia State University with a Bachelors in Music Education,along with a Masters in Middle Level Education, and Doctorate of Education from Walden University. She is a featured soloist abroad and in the states, playwright, published poet, author, actress, playwright, owns and operates "The Melody Boutique" in Stone Mountain. Ga. She is the Director of Music at Lithonia 1st UMC, and served as one of the music directors for Usher’s Camp New Look in 2005.

Dr. VadaC is a lifetime member of Golden Key Honors Society, a recipient of the Haskell Boyter Vocal/Choral Scholarship, and has been inducted twice into Who's Who Among America's Teachers. Her professional affiliations include Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA), and Music Educators National Conference (NAfME).She served as the 2014-15 GMEA District IV co-chair, and is currently Music Department Chair for DeKalb County School District, a mentor for the District secondary choral directors, guest honors chorus clinician, and an adjudicator for NAACP and other county sponsored literary competitions and performing evaluations.

Dr. VadaC is the Director of the Voices of Stephenson Choral Department, Her dissertation, “Aligning the National Standards for Music Education with Blooms Revised Taxonomy” was published in 2013. She's also a published author of "Aligning Music with the Standards" in the Jan. issue of Choir Director Magazine, Her current project is developing a workbook with standards-based Lesson Plans accompanied with instructional materials for music and non-musician educators to use as part of their curriculum.
