I have been teaching at the post-secondary level for over twenty-five years. During part of that time, I was also a "Reading Readiness" (K-3) teacher who provided and presented themed units to the larger (K-10) student body.

I have a B.A. in literature with a medieval concentration. My M.A. focused on language use in post-modernism. For my doctorate, I returned to medieval studies, Latin, and linguistics.
At various times, I have been a teacher, writer, editor, lexicographer, homeschooler, and -- for over twenty-five years -- a university instructor teaching a wide variety of writing and literature courses as well as Latin, linguistics, and etymology. Lately, I have added curriculum developer, instructional designer, and blogger to my resume.
