I have 32 years of teaching experience in public schools. I have taught grades one through seven, with the majority of my years in middle school science.
I like the classroom to be a low-stress area where students enjoy learning. I employ a variety of games in my classroom.
I have been Teacher of the Year twice and have served as department chair. I have mentored numerous beginning teachers and served on a variety of committees. I was selected to participate in the Zero Gravity program and to study in Japan for a month as part of the Fulbright Scholarship.
I graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor's degree in Educational Sciences. I later earned a master's degree in curriculum from the University of West Florida.
I am married to the most wonderful man in the world. I like to read and walk on the beach.
