TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have almost 20 years of experience teaching and leading in public middle and high schools. Currently, I teach Geometry and AP Calculus at a magnet STEM school in CT. I leverage my experience as a former Montessori child, teacher, and principal, as well as my Masters in Brain Research to create resources that truly allow all students to access the curriculum in fun and engaging ways. Sick of flashcards? Try Easy As Pi! Note: I also sometimes collaborate with my mother who taught K-2 for 35+ years in public schools to create math resources for students in the lower grades.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Hand-on, Montessori, Independent Learning

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

YALE Ashoka Fellow with the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I started in PK at a Montessori school, before transferring in grade 3 to a public school. I then earned my B.S. in Applied Mathematics and my B.A. in English from UC Santa Barbara. My M.S. in Brain Research is from Nova in Miami and finally my Ed.D in Urban Public School Administration is from the University of Southern California (USC).
