I am a 5th grade teacher in Southern Illinois. I work in a self-contained classroom, teaching all subjects. Our district is currently in it's 5th year of implementing Common Core. For three years, I served as a 5th grade ELA representative. During this time, I helped develop our curriculum and assessments for all ELA Common Core standards.
