I've been a teacher for ten years. Majority of this time has been spent teaching 4th and 5th grade math and science in Georgia and Tennessee. While involved in the Master's Program (Educatonal Administration and Policy at the University of Georgia, I begin to spend a great deal of time on assessment and evaluation. I am currently working on my dissertation "Correlations between state standards and Common Core Standards"
The primary goal in assessment is to inform us about student progress and their needs. I've learn over the years, that asssessment is needed for our students as well as us. The assessments that I create gives me an abundance of information about student learning as well as my own teaching!!! This is really important as we move into the new Common Core Standards.
I was also chosen by my school district to present information on Smart Board Integration in the Classroom in Atlanta, Georgia at the ETC. I was chosen by my school principal/parent for the 21st Century Grant in Georgia. Deans List: University of Georgia - Master's in Educational Administration and Policy.
Early Childhood Degree Administration and Pollicy - Master's Degree Educational Administration - Doctorate Degree (in process)
Besides getting paid to do what I love. (TEACHING). I spend my days away from school with my beautiful wife and 3 children
