TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Middle and high school English and reading classes. I've taught in extremely rural schools and not-so-rural schools, but my goal is always the same: help students understand the importance of reading and writing!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Relating everything to real life and avoiding doing things for the sake of school are my main priorities, while still teaching students important skills for reading and writing. I love finding ways to track data so we can all see how much the students have grown! One of my most effective techniques is to have students find their own ideas instead of listening to mine when it comes to talking about literature.
