Nine years ago I started in education as an academic interventionist at a high school in northern Michigan. For the past eight years I have taught Biology and Chemistry at the secondary level.
The science department at our school focuses on project-based inquiry lessons. I focus specifically on building base level knowledge through frequent repetition of key ideas and terminology.
2017-2018- Michigan Green Schools Recognition 2015- Touchstone Energy Classroom Grant recipient 2013- M.A.R.S.P. battery grant recipient Scholarships- Huizenga, Stein, and Salski scholarships awarded.
2005- Graduated top ten from Comstock Park HS 2010- B.S. Degree in Biology/Chemistry with an Education emphasis from Grand Valley State University 2015- M.A. Degree in Educational Leadership from Central Michigan University
My biggest hobbies are cycling and spending time with my growing family in Grand Rapids.
