I began my teaching career in special education in the resource and collaborative classrooms in the high school and middle school levels. After several years, I moved over to the ELA middle school classroom where I teach advanced, regular, and co-taught levels. During the Spring of 2018, I completed the Poetry In America course through Harvard University called Whitman to Hip Hop. It changed the way I teach poetry in my classroom. Many of my poetry resources featured in my TpT store were created while I was taking this course.
My teaching style is for the students to be engaged in activities that are meaningful.
