I have taught for 14 years in grades 5 - 8 in content areas of science, literacy, math, social studies, art, and computer literacy. I was a team leader in my middle school for 10 years, I have been a mentor teacher for many years and have supervised student teachers. I am on my school's improvement committee, the science curriculum committee, and I manage the school's Facebook page.
I use varied instructional techniques and integrate content from various subject areas as much as possible in the subjects I teach. I work hard at getting students to realize how what they are learning connects to the "real-world". I integrate technology instruction and use as much as possible.

My undergraduate degree is in Elementary Education with a minor in Biological Sciences. I have my Master's in Teaching and learning with a specialization in Differentiation. My Doctorate is in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction.
My husband and I were blessed with twin girls. They are currently five years old and began Kindergarten this year. We love to camp and share our love of nature with our girls. I love to do arts and crafts with the twins, I love to scrapbook, and I love to read. With my newest degree I am trying to get adjunct jobs teaching at the college level or developing my own classes/workshops to teach at conferences. I am passionate about helping other teachers gain new ideas and insights in how to improve upon their current strengths.
