TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Education has always been a part of my life. My father is a retired art teacher and my mother designed textbooks for elementary schools. The importance of education and the joy of learning is something that is rooted deep in me. During my undergraduate education, I was able to get a job a community center working with children of all ages. For 4 years I was working in the toddler classes and main hall with the infants and babies. During after-school hours I would work with 3rd-5th graders. Every summer I was a counselor to 5th-8th graders at the community center's day camp. The winter after I graduated, I landed an assistant teaching position with a special education school, with middle school students. From there I moved on to another special education school, where I currently am finishing my second year assistant teaching, I plan to attend graduate school in the next year to become a head teacher.
