I have taught a variety of ages and subjects in both public and private schools in Louisiana and Texas, including 6th and 8th grade Language Arts, 7th grade math, and 4th-7th grade Social Studies. For the past eight years I have been a private tutor for students of all ages in all subjects, from pre-K to college admission and adult education students. Most recently, in addition to tutoring, I have been homeschooling my five-year-old along with other four to six-year-old students. Each summer I host a learning camp for four to six-year-olds, and "employ" my older tutoring students as camp counselors to both aid the younger students and improve their own reading skills.
My teaching style changes from student to student; however, I highly value student-led learning and am always searching for more creative ways for students to learn.
I was awarded the Top Graduate of Education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and nominated for Teacher of the Year twice.
I began my studies in Education at Louisiana State University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
