I have fourteen years of experience as an educator. I've taught Adult Ed, middle school ELA and Social Studies, and served as the instructional designer in a regional history museum in Pittsburgh. I've also been a professional developer for novice teachers and a teacher coach for Baltimore City Public Schools.
I believe in rigorous and engaging content, with plenty of opportunities to analyze primary sources and incorporate authentic writing. Look here for case studies, web quests, gallery walks, simulation, and your tried-and-true learning activities like PowerPoints and writing prompts.
