Work smarter, not harder! :) I have had the opportunity to work with many different grade levels as both an ESE and ELL resource teacher throughout my teaching career. In both positions, it was imperative that I kept my data and information well-organized, as I was responsible for the academic progress of many students during the school year. Also, I was able to create many units, lessons, and interventions that incorporated the skills and content being taught in the general education classroom.
I am a fun-loving person, and I truly believe that if you can make learning fun, the students will love it and enjoy learning! I also believe that in order for students to enjoy learning, the lessons need to be differentiated to suit their individual needs. However, while students should enjoy school, they also need structure, organization, and routine.

I am originally from Seattle, where I taught my first year of teaching. Since then, I have taught in Peru, Denver, and now Tampa, FL. I love going to the beach, which is why I am on here sharing my resources with you; so you can have more time to spend on the beach too (or wherever your happy place is)! :)
