TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I student taught in the fifth and second grades. After college, I taught fourth grade for four years. I then taught fifth grade for two years. I currently teach third grade at an urban school. I've truly enjoyed each of the different grade levels!

MY TEACHING STYLE

My Beliefs: *I have a passion for excellence, in my students and especially within myself as their teacher. *Teaching children is a wonderful privilege and an incredible responsibility. *Every child can learn. It is my job to figure out how each individual student learns best and teach them in that way. *I strive to catch the attention of every learner and give them every possible opportunity to grow intellectually and emotionally. *I love creating learning experiences that inspire curiosity within every type of learner. *I make a point to try to connect to each student in a personal way. I think that is the best motivational tool there is! *One of my goals is to prepare each student for the next grade level. However, the goal most important to me is to help them become the best person they can be for the rest of their life! *It is crucial for parents and teachers to have frequent communication and work together. We are each child’s biggest supporters and assets.
