TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught ELA in multiple grades in a large urban school district for more than 20 years. My favorite of those multiple grades is 4th grade.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am very much a student centered teacher with extremely high expectations for all learners. I meet students where they are and move them forward as they are ready. I also put a strong emphasis on building relationships with students, and I truly believe that if I expect it, they will learn.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Winner of Office Max's A Day Made Better Award and an Award of Excellence from my district.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have my undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and my masters degree from Rio Grande University.
