I've taught ELAR for grades 6-12, as well as instructional coaching both in the English and Social Studies departments. I am passionate about developing strong, rigorous curriculum that meets learners where they are.
I'm an essentialist with constructivist tendancies. I think that all children need to learn basic skills for determining author's purpose and inferencing, but I think that lectures are almost never the right way to get them there.
