I am entering into my fifth year as an Elementary School Counselor at Robert D. Wilson Elementary in rural Pennsylvania. Since starting I have developed and implemented over 50 specific guidance lessons to students in grades PreK-5th. I have also trained three schools in the Olweus Bully Prevention program and am the district consultant for the program. My colleagues and I have recently developed a 200pg comprehensive career plan for our district, which was approved by the school board in June of 2015.
I teach lessons in all three domains: Academic, Personal/Social, and Career. I have recently placed more emphasis on the Career domain as I find it very important to start this endeavor as early as possible. My lessons always have a fun element to them to help solidify learning. It also makes the students very excited to see me for a lesson! I try to encorporate all three types of learning into each lesson (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic) to access all students.
I am a fully certified Olweus Bully Prevention Program trainer. I have presented at the Pennsylvania School Counselors Association annual conferences three times, the most recent of which highlighted guidance lessons for elementary students. I am currently in the process of applying for RAMP status (Recognized ASCA Model Program)

A little about me: I enjoy hiking, and have visited the Catskills, Smoky Mountains, Rockies, White Mountains, and Swiss Alps I am an excellent cookie baker, and have developed several of my own recipes as my skill grew (no- I do NOT sell these on TPT :) School Counseling provides a deep sense of meaning in my life, and a little bit of my heart and soul goes into every piece of work that I do. My love for the field is what drives my success.
