TEACHING EXPERIENCE

We are ESL Certified Teachers in New Mexico with experience teaching 1st through 8th grades between us.

MY TEACHING STYLE

We strive to engage all learners in fun, meaningful activities that build on their knowledge and capabilities. Our student population is incredibly diverse, and has included refugees from three continents over the years, as well as students with learning and emotional disorders. When children are excited and interested, their natural curiosity will drive them forward.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Both Meisha and Drew have attained Tier III Licensure, the highest level of licensure in the State of New Mexico. Meisha has served as Grade Level Chair at two grade levels, and has led Cadres at her school. Drew has written and won numerous grants totalling over \$50,000 for the school and his classroom, and has presented papers and the inaugural New Mexico Educator's Conference.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Meisha earned her Bachelor's in Education from the University of New Mexico and a Master's in Human Behavior through National University. Drew graduated with an English Degree from Northwestern University, then pursued Dual Licensure Programs at the University of New Mexico. He earned his MFA in Creative Writing through National University.

We love to teach!
