TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently a 5th grade teacher at a public school in Arkansas, with 5 years of teaching experience. I hold a Master's Degree in Elementary Education, and am certified for P-8. I also hold a P-12 certification in ESL.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love using hands-on activities, small group work, and technology in the classroom. Reading is the absolute best time of the day, and if you walk in during silent reading, you'll see kids (and the teacher) perched on their desks or spread around the room smiling over a book.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

No official awards yet, but I have a canvas with "Best Teacher" on it that one of my students painted for me! :)

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

B.S.E. - University of Arkansas M.A.T. -University of Arkansas Teaching Certification - Arkansas E.S.L. Endorsement - University of Arkansas

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

My teaching specialties are reading, science, and technology, although I love every subject. I am a computer programmer, and absolutely LOVE using the flipped classroom technique and new technology in my classroom.

Teachers Pay Teachers

Teachers Pay Teachers is an online marketplace where teachers buy and sell original educational materials.
