TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a second year 3rd grade teacher.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to incorporate student choice throughout the school year. I believe it is extremely important to engage students in learning and allow them to explore their own creativity and decision making.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

In my first year of teaching, I received an award for achieving 60% growth or higher in both Reading and Mathematics on my school's growth achievement measure. This was a huge honor for me in my first year of teaching, especially since I was hired at the beginning of the second grading period.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received my Bachelor's in Science from Middle Tennessee State University, and then continued on to obtain my Master's in Education: Curriculum and Instruction from MTSU!
