This chart provides children a way to keep the details of the story in order. It was created for the third grade. It ask the students to draw picture of the characters, note what was given at the different wedding, what the quilt was used for.
Used this as a quick morning math with my 2nd and 3graders. For second grade I used this at the end with smaller numbers. For third grade, I used after the first few weeks. Students would practice reading the numbers as well.
My students write their homework on the line. I pick a number daily for their spelling homework. English and Spanish, except for spelling choices.

Wether we are studying parts of speech, first definition or mostly used definition. Students practice writing definitions and writing them out.
When grading I look for the page number only or the beginning of the definition. It is easy to grade.
