TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 10 years, one year in 6th grade and 9 years in 5th grade. I teach all subject areas, but have a true passion for reading and writing workshops. I have written curriculum for 7 years in all subject areas and have geared my lessons towards the CCSS, while making the lessons rigorous and engaging for all student learning styles.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in a balanced literacy approach and the workshop models- in all subject areas. I work towards preparing students for 6th grade and becoming independent and life-long learners. Modeling is the most important part of my lessons and creating charts and examples to aid is student achievement.
