TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I finished my student teaching in May teaching two periods of Spanish I and three periods of Spanish II. I have had students from all grades 9-12. During other portions of my college field experiences I have taught Spanish I and II as well, in suburban and urban high schools. Now I'm excited to look for my first full-time teaching job!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Speaking the target language as often as possible is really important to me. I try to give students as many opportunities as I can to personalize the material and make it relevant to their lives. I like incorporating realia and authentic materials from Spanish-speaking countries.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I won the award for Spanish Student for the 2014-2015 academic year at Gonzaga University and I spent a semester studying abroad in Granada, Spain.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I just graduated in May 2015 from Gonzaga University. I received my BA in Spanish and my Washington State residency certificate to teach K-12 Spanish & ESL.
