TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently in my 20th year of teaching. I have always wanted to be a teacher. In fact, when I was little I would play school with my little sister and my mom said that I taught her how to read before she even went to kindergarten! I have taught in private and public schools. I have taught all ages from preschool to 3rd grade. Currently I am teaching 3rd grade. I always tell my 3rd grade students that 3rd grade is the wonderful time when they are no longer learning to read, but reading to learn!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am passionate about reading. I hope to instill in all of my students the need to be a life long reader. I also feel that the relationship piece is the most important part of the teacher/student relationship.
