TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught English, social studies, physical education, reading, and science in kindergarten through eighth grade. I have experience teaching in a variety of school settings (rural, open school, urban, and education centers) in South Dakota, Minnesota, Oklahoma, and, most recently, South Korea. My favorite teaching experiences come from 2011-2014 when I taught 7th grade science and had a chance to develop my resources and try a variety of strategies with my students. I LOVE working with middle school students and enjoy all the fun ways to teach science.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe my teaching style is mostly a reflection of five influential teachers I had growing up. To learn more about who I am as a teacher, please read my blog posts about my teachers and how they impacted me.
