I taught 3rd/4th grade for six years and was an ESL Instructional Coach for one year. After that, I became a stay at home mom, had five children, and taught them all how to read and more at a very young age with resources that I created.
I believe in scaffolded instruction that is directed towards the child's zone of proximal development and the gradual release of responsibility model that guides students towards independent learning.

I have a Bachelor's degree with a major in English Language Arts and a minor in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an ESL endorsement.
After having my second child, I made the decision to become a stay at home mom. I've since had three more children and over the last ten years created resources that have helped me teach my own children (and others) to read at a very young age. I am also working on creating additional content to help with math, handwriting, and more!
