My name is Emily LaFontaine and I teach fifth grade in the "All-America City" of Hickory, North Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years before moving to fifth grade and did my student teaching in third grade. I create teaching resources/materials for upper-grades elementary school teachers.
I try my best to create the most structured, positive environment possible.
I recently submitted an audio documentary about school bullying to the Broadcast Education Association's annual audio competition and placed third in the nation for the project. *Summer 2014: ranked within the top 100 sellers in North Carolina*
I am originally from Charlotte with degrees in Elementary Education (K-6) and Communication (Electronic Media/Broadcasting) from Appalachian State University. I also have a qualification to teach Middle School English/Language Arts.
