TEACHING EXPERIENCE

11 years as a high school math teacher, including 7 years teaching AP Calculus

MY TEACHING STYLE

I always want students to build from what they know. Nothing comes from nothing, so helping students see connections to prior knowledge is key--we're not doing anything scary; we're taking what we already know and adding to it. Humor plays a huge role in my classroom, to make sure students feel comfortable and that they enjoy themselves.
