I have five years experience teaching high school and have the following courses available for students to take: Psychology, Civics, History of Terrorism, Ancient Civilizations, History of Forgotten People, Economics, and School Publications. Check out my listings for History of Terrorism, History of Forgotten People, and Ancient Civilizations as I have created those courses myself.
I am very open and free-flowing as I present information. I love to do activities and projects that ask students to think critically about information that has been presented in class during the unit of study.
I have not received any formal awards, but have each of these courses approved by careful review from my local school board and have a large number of students sign up for these courses each semester which speaks to their level of interest even though I expect a lot out of them in class.
I have a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Illinios at Urbana-Champaign, graduating magna cum laude. I then pursued my teaching certificate at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and graduated summa cum laude. I am currently pursuing my master's degree with a principal's endorsement from Eastern Illinois University,
I've got an awesome wife, two beautiful daughters, love my church, and bleed #STLCards red!
