I have taught all levels of adult LINC, Workplace ESL, and Computers for more than 30 years. Right now, I'm teaching mixed-level adult ESL classes (Levels 0-2 in the mornings and Advanced in the afternoons) at The Centre in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. I have consistently received “Excellent” evaluations for my TESL Ontario and Affiliate ESL Workshops for instructors since I began presenting in 2009. Some of my workshops are: "Vowel Colours - Stop Using Phonetic Symbols!", "Tricks for Teaching Tough Sounds", "Supercharge Your Creative Chi !", "Using the 5Ws to Teach Correct Word Order in English Sentences", "The Elbow Metronome - Timing for Fluency", and "Monday Morning Wake-Ups - Group, Chart-Based Activities to Beat the Monday Blahs". My 440 page book, "Monday Morning ESL Wake-Ups" is available through my website, www.mondaymorningesl.com
As an artist, writer, and inventor, I have always been frustrated by ESL materials that either confused the learners or were not based on the Real World. Over more than 30 years, I have developed SIMPLE PHYSICAL techniques for communicating some of the most difficult topics in teaching English: in Pronunciation - R/L, P/B, B/V, V/W - and of course, all of the Vowel Sounds; and in Writing - Sentence Structure and Natural Writing for Paragraphs & Essays.

Special Achievements Award - McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada (for poetry that went on to be published in an Anthology and a short story that was published in a newspaper). Dean's Honour List - McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. MVP - Hamilton Mountain Mixed Slow-Pitch Baseball Team. First Female to Hit a Home Run - Hamilton Mountain Mixed Slow-Pitch Baseball Team.
I have a Masters degree in English, with special courses in Phonetics, Linguistics, and Expository Writing. I have continued to do independent research on how we make all of the sounds of English, as well as literature on 2nd language acquisition and learning in general. I have also participated in yearly Professional Development workshops through TESL Ontario and local affiliate chapters.
I have also been a newspaper reporter, have a LAN diploma and can build a computer from parts, and as a part-time Marketing Director, helped a "Mom & Pop" business to double - in 11 Months! - a customer base they had taken 11 Years to build. I have sold my paintings & digital art through a gallery in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
