I am entering my ninth year of teaching high school and I have loved every minute! I have taught both upper and lower level classes as well as reading intervention. Each class and grade level has brought so many rewarding teaching experiences!
I implement and enjoy all types of teaching styles. My goal with each style is to engage all students and get them excited about learning. Sometimes that involves storytelling; other times, it may be group work. Every year, every grade, and every class may need different styles, but it is so rewarding when I can find the one that truly fits!

Although I feel like all my students are my kids, I have one that is truly my own. My son, Ty, keeps me on my toes every single day as a mom and teacher as he is always asking questions that require research on my part! While teaching is my first passion after playing with my son, I also LOVE writing! I have written two children's books: "The Too Little Hero" and "Faith the Mustard Seed". I have been so blessed by God in so many ways to be able to have the life I do and work at work worth doing!
