TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I worked for four years as an English Language Arts teacher, creating my own original curriculum for the courses that I taught, including: 8th grade, 9th grade, 11th grade, 12th grade, SAT Prep, College Research Prep, and Mythology. Once I was excessed from my English position due to budget cuts, I used my second degree/certification as a School Library Media specialist to begin a job as a School Librarian in a junior/senior high school. The 2016-2017 school year marks my third year as a School Librarian in a Long Island, NY public school. I also serve as a member of the Technology Committee and am the School Newspaper adviser.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to infuse new technology into whatever lesson I am facilitating. Whether I am using online databases, Google Forms, Padlet, Schoology, or polleverywhere.com, I always try to incorporate student devices and Internet-based learning. Additionally, I love presenting with multimedia, including memes, YouTube videos, and pop culture references to engage my students.
