I have been an EFL teacher in South Korea since the summer of 2002. I have taught thousands of children to speak English aged 3 to 16.
Using activities that engage all the senses and learning styles is important, but the longer I teach the more I become convinced that music is the key to unlocking the potential of a child's language learning.
My most prized awards are the letters of thanks from students. They are adorable, but also private^^.
I graduated with a bachelor of economics from the University of British Columbia in 2002. I also completed Level 6 (the highest) of Seoul National University's Korean language and culture program in 2005. I've also lived abroad most of my adult life and that sure is an education.
My wife and I used to think it was fun to find interesting places to visit and enjoy whatever local cuisine was available. Now we realize that it is better to seek out great cuisine and enjoy whatever everything else is available.
