I have been working as a primary ESL teacher and CLIL teacher-coordinator for the international French schools in Bratislava, Warsaw and Bangkok.
What best describes CDCEnglish is the use of Interactive worksheets with Audio recordings. They are suitable for English language teachers, educators teaching other subjects, such as Biology or Mathematics in English (CLIL/EMILE), for homeschooling or family time. They can directly be used in the class, but the worksheets also support children’ s learning in out-of-school environments. By scanning the QR codes or clicking on “Can’t scan today? CLICK HERE!”, children are directed to Audio recordings with the help of which they can easily review and practise the subject contents no matter where they are. They can practise the correct pronunciation of key subject-specific vocabulary and structures repeatedly. This is similar to repetition drills, but more involving as children repeat the words and phrases in a context that naturally interests them. With this tool, parents can also learn English or other subjects through English together with their children.
