TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a second year teacher of ELA in middle school. I am teaching 6th and 7th grade at this time.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am not a traditional ELA teacher. I like to look at reading and writing in new, innovative ways. My students compete in new groups each quarter, extend their learning with art and creativity, and are exposed to UDL and STEM whenever it is an option. I find that my students enjoy writing if taught through steps that are easy for them to understand, and because writing is a passion of mine, I try to emulate that love for them. I also use technology in all ways possible and am a huge fan of utilizing my Smart Board.
