TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I started out teaching middle grades (5-8) for the first 4 years of teaching and now I am back to being a middle grades English teacher again. I have to re-create a lot of the materials as they are not suitable for the age group. I love group reading and guided reading groups so a lot of literature guides that accompany books can be found in my store! I have also taught Kindergarten (2 years), and second grade (1 year).

MY TEACHING STYLE

Any teaching style is made well if you have a good foundation of classroom management. That doesn't mean you have to be strict, you just have to follow-through on the rules that you have created. My daily schedule follows: Mini Lesson Seat Work Center-based activities Assessment
