TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Previously a first grade teacher. In the past 6 years, I have specialized in the field of literacy, specifically reading intervention, remediation and dyslexia. I am currently a Reading Specialist for K-3 elementary school as well as an Orton-Gillingham Teacher/Tutor for dyslexic students in grades 1-5.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Multi-sensory, Reader's and Writer's workshop models, multiple intelligences. I believe in promoting student discovery of concepts and providing children with ample opportunities to manipulate and explore new ideas so that their learning is more meaningful.
