TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught in the Muncie Community Schools, located in Muncie, Indiana, for 16years. I have had a wide variety of classroom and private tutoring experiences ranging from primary to secondary levels. I have been recognized as 'Teacher of the Year' twice at my respective schools. I have taught in many different programs while working for Muncie Community Schools in a residential juvinile facility where my students have had very little success in regular school. I began developing many of my math ideas to help these and other students, including after school tutoring. I am currently planning math workshops for educators in Columbia City, Indiana and developing and designing math manipulatives. I have prepared and presented a teacher in-service for classroom and behavior management for Yorktown Middle School, located in Delaware County, Indiana. I have also been the Program Manager for Summer Advantage USA for the past two summers.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is to-the-point, yet creative. I enjoy creating resources for my students and thinking 'outside the box'.
