I currently teach First Grade in Annapolis, MD. I previously taught Pre-Kindergarten in Washington, DC and Kindergarten/Pre-First in Baltimore, MD. During the summer, I teach computer coding and junior robotics. I previously ran a summer camp program (for 10 years) where campers would visit several museums in the Washington, DC area each week.
The first rule in my class is to have fun. My goal is always to give my students a creative outlet. Whenever possible, we spend time outdoors and collaborate on group projects. This year, my class has embraced the maker spirit and participates weekly in "Makerspace"/"Tinker-time," using everything from cardboard to recycled bottles and paper towel rolls to create unique masterpieces.

I studied Journalism and Media at the University of San Francisco. Following my first year of teaching, I started the Masters of Arts in Educational Technology at Michigan State University.
I am a true Washington, DC native. I enjoy finding ways to incorporate the city's many museum and historical sites into my curriculum whenever possible.
