TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught in a public elementary school since September of 2001. I have spent the majority of my teaching career in first grade. I create products to fit a variety of learning needs. My teaching experience also includes teaching Kindergarten and second grade. I have styled classrooms for I am the author of two Scholastic teacher resource books: 50 Just Right Reading Response Activities for Young Learners and 20 Super Spelling Centers. Besides classroom academics, I have a flair for decor. I love making visually appealing and functional classroom decor for my own classroom and others.

I utilize both small group and whole group instruction in my classroom. I feel it is important to utilize hands-on, engaging activities for first graders.
