I have observed and assisted in Kindergarten, second, third, and fourth grade classrooms during my college education. I have also substituted at a private preschool on an as needed basis. I have taught third grade and fourth grade and have had the opportunity to work with English Language Learners, gifted learners, and students who fall under the Special Education umbrella.
I enjoy teaching mostly through small group instruction. I also like to utilize movement, music, art, and discussion in my lessons. I believe that the students who are doing the talking are doing the learning; therefore, I strive for a constructively noisy classroom. Most importantly, I want the students in my classroom to feel safe, valued, and loved.

I attended Valdosta State University for my Bachelor's of Science in Education degree. I graduated May 2015. I will be graduating with a Master of Science in Early Childhood Education in December 2017.
My name is Erica Cruz and I am passionate about teaching! I believe all students can learn and strive to help my students see success every day. Aside from teaching, I enjoy working in my garden, playing outside with my dogs, and spending time with my husband. The resources I post here are resources I use in my own classroom. I will never post a resource that I do not find valuable or am not willing to use with my own class.
