In my short tenure as a teacher I have taught both Kindergarten and 3rd grade jewish studies at Woodlands Community Temple as well as 3rd grade Hebrew. In addition to these positions I have student taught in a 4th grade ICT class and a 1st grade class. I have also taught English in Israel to 4th, 5th and 6th graders. Currently I am the head teacher at Tel Aviv Community Center's Kindergarten English program.
I am not a lecturer. I like to let students discover through an activity and then provide them with the knowledge to back up wither discovery. I believe that every student deserves a chance at an education no mater what. No students learn alike, and we need to provide an environment that encourages students learning styles.
Second place recipient in the Young Jewish Educators Award through the Jewish Theological Seminary at NYU for my Kindergarten teaching.
BA in Childhood Education from Pace University
Growing up I always loved watching my mother prepare her lessons for the week and listening to her talking about her students and how she was problem solving so they can learn best. This is what inspired me to become a teacher. After graduating from college with a degree in Childhood Education, I decided to head to Israel with Israel Teaching Fellows where I taught English in elementary schools. I fell in love, even more then I was already, with Israel and in 2016 I decided to make it my home. Now I will be teaching the alphabet to 4-6 year olds in Tel Aviv. I am very excited to begin teaching in Tel Aviv. I make most of my own materials and enjoy planning out what will be taught each week.
