TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am starting my 6th year teaching special education pre-school. I have taught mostly students with autism and other severe disabilities for the last three years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Differentiated instruction is incredibly important for the little guys I work with. Each one is essentially at a different skill level. I utilize picture prompts and supports, task systems, visual schedules, one on one discrete trials, etc.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Student Teacher of the year in 2010.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

University of Delaware 2010 Degree: B.S. in Early Childhood Education Certifications: Early Childhood Education (Birth-2) & Special Education, Autism Certification University of Delaware 2014 Degree: M.Ed. in Exceptional Children and Youth

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I recently completed my masters degree in special education with a focus area in autism and severe disabilities. I work primarily with students with autism in my classroom ranging in ages 2-5, all at varying skill levels.
