TEACHING EXPERIENCE

2015-present Barrington High School 2006-2015 Richmond-Burton Community High School

MY TEACHING STYLE

Flipped! & Eclectic: I use music, dance, TPRS, traditional direct grammar instruction, games, projects, and pretty much anything else.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

In my first few years and at my very small school, I have churned out more than half a dozen students who are majoring/minoring in French. (And those are just the ones I know of!) That's the best reward I can ask for.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

2006 BA: French & Secondary Education, Saint Norbert College 2009 MA: Curriculum & Instruction w/ ESL, Concordia University Chicago Spring 2005 Study Abroad: Université Catholique de Lille 2014: Stage pédagogique (2 weeks), CAVILAM, Vichy

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have served on the executive council of my local chapter of AATF since 2009, for which I started the Champions d'expression Oral French Contest that takes place every April since 2011.
