I have been teaching now for over 10 years. I started in college as a Pre-K teacher once I graduated I taught 2nd grade in Utah. From there I went back to my roots and taught pre-k in Colorado. After a few years I took on the task of getting my masters while being an Instructional/Data Coach at a K-5 elementary school in North Dakota. I now live in Minnesota where I have been classroom teacher, a reading specialist and a talent development teacher!
My teaching style is very reflective and big picture. I always reflect upon my lessons and have students reflect on their work and correct mistakes. I love to look at the data I have collected on my students and track with them where they need to be by the end of the year if not further. I also try to embody the student's whole self into each lesson. Creating engaging activities that help educate the whole child.
I don't need to bore you will school honors and that is all I have received thus far in my career.
Masters of Curriculum and Instruction from North Dakota State University. Go Bison! Bachelors of Arts from the University of Utah in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Music and French. Go Utes!
In my down time I enjoy rock climbing, traveling, camping, skiing, crafting and hanging out with friends.
