TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a fourth grade teacher for Blair Community Schools.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I hope my teaching style is as "differentiated" as the learning style of my class. I am a firm believer in hands on, enjoyable learning. I watch and listen and my students quickly let me know what works for them...and what doesn't!

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

As the daughter of an English professor and published poet (Dr. Don Welch), I grew up with a deep appreciation of language. I taught for several years before working as a business executive for 20 years. I began working part time when my daughter was diagnosed with learning disabilities. She taught me the essence of teaching. Know what you teach so well that you can turn it, flip it, and stand it on its head. And if the student still doesn't understand...find angles you haven't yet explored.
