I love being a teacher! I've taught in a variety of settings including private schools, public schools, and an alternative education for disruptive youth (AEDY) program. I have taught both honors and general courses, and have experience in grades 7-12. I'm currently teaching seventh graders, freshmen, and seniors and loving it! I also serve as the instructional coach for my district.
I believe that each student is unique and that each student wants to be engaged (whether they realize it or not). I also believe that laughter should be in the classroom, that students should participate in group work, and that, as teachers, we must require our students to think for themselves. The items I post here at TpT are things I have used in my own classroom at one time or another. I hope that you find them helpful!

I graduated as a double major in writing and psychology from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Years later I completed my M.Ed. Recently, I became and instructional coach for my school district and am enjoying the training and networking that position affords me.
I am born and raised in west-central PA, and I love living here. That being said, I have spent some time traveling in the American West, and I absolutely love it! When I am not teaching, I am busy with extracurricular advising. I also love spending time with my family and my adorable dog.
